Ellise Gitas was born on September 10, 1998, in Danville, California. When she was 17 years old, she decided to move to Los Angeles to pursue a career as a professional singer and recording artist, stating that “I wanted to pursue singing as a career, and L.A. is the place you go to do that.”[2] Before moving to Los Angeles, she was required to finish high school and was able to graduate two years early by passing a graduation exam.[3] Shortly after her arrival in Los Angeles, she began recording and posting covers to Youtube, beginning with her cover of Adele's "Hello".
After her initial release, she posted songs to Youtube on a weekly basis and attained a following of over 10,000 subscribers. She then posted her first original single and music video, "Dominos", which was directed by Paul Boyd on July 7, 2016.
