Elmsleigh Centre
History
The Elmsleigh Centre[1] is an indoor shopping centre located in Staines-upon-Thames. Construction began in 1977 and it was opened by her Majesty The Queen on 22 February 1980. It (which was named after the former Staines urban District Council's offices which stood on part of the site)[2] provides approximately one third of all the retail space in the town. It consists of over 50 units and is managed by Spelthorne Borough Council after purchasing it in February 2020[3]. There are also several notable brands which operate in the area such as Primark, which occupied the vacant 51,000 sq.ft British Home Stores property[4]. The centre is also close proximity to Two Rivers Shopping centre and Staines high street. Two Rivers shopping centre which opened in 2002[5] (which is named after the confluence of the rivers Wraysbury and Colne.)

Bus
There is a bus station outside the premises with several bus routes operated around the county by Transport for London, Abellio and many other operators.
Train
Staines Railway Station[6] (on the Waterloo to Reading line and operated by South Western Railway) that is 0.8 miles from the centre.
Air
Heathrow Airport is 5.3 miles away with five terminals offering domestic and international flights with Public transport options in the surrounding area.
Parking
It has 2 multi-story car parks and one surface level, both with close proximity.
