Emeka Okwuosa (born 19 August 1961) is a Nigerian engineer, entrepreneur and philanthropist. He is the founder and Group Chief Executive Officer of the Oilserv Group, a leading indigenous pipeline and facilities engineering company, and is widely recognized for his role in Nigeria’s oil & gas sector, especially in pipeline infrastructure and energy transition.[2]

Early life and education

Okwuosa was born in Oraifite, Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State, Nigeria. He attended Community Boys Secondary School, Oraifite and graduated in Electronics and Electrical Engineering from the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) in 1982.[2]

Career

After beginning his career with Schlumberger working across Europe, North Africa, West Africa, the Gulf of Guinea and Southeast Asia Okwuosa returned to Nigeria and in 1992 founded Oilserv Limited (operations beginning 1995).[3]

Philanthropy and impact

Okwuosa established the Sir Emeka Okwuosa Foundation, which has contributed to education, road construction, erosion control, potable water and electricity infrastructure in several communities. Notably, the foundation built the Dame Irene Nneka Okwuosa Medical Centre, a state‑of‑the‑art specialist hospital in Oraifite, Anambra State.[4]

Awards and recognition

Okwuosa has received numerous awards and national honours, including the National Productivity Order of Merit (NPOM) in 2017 and the national award of Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) in 2022.[2]
