Emmanuel Hudson is a comedian and actor who began his career in Atlanta, GA. Alongside his younger brother, Phillip Hudson, they began writing songs and posting music videos on YouTube. He really appeared on the map after catching so much buzz from a music video he released with John A. Baker Jr., known as Spoken Reasons, titled "Questions."[1] The video currently has over twenty-six million views. Shortly after, Emmanuel and his brother Phillip released "Ratchet Girl Anthem" which went viral.[2]
Early Life
Hudson is a Mississippi native who grew up with a large family of 8 people. They moved to Atlanta, GA in 1998. As a child, he was a natural entertainer. He'd dance, rap, and perform comedy for his classmates, which gained him popularity. However, he also had a mischievous side that resulted in him being transferred to three different high schools before graduating in 2009. In efforts to take his future more seriously, he furthered his talents by pursuing comedy which was strongly encouraged by his two older brothers, Matthew and Okeffe Hudson. He started creating various characters and skits that are some of today's funniest digital content found.
Career
Due to Hudson's vast presence on media sites such as YouTube and Instagram, he has earned an increased social status. His role as a comedian in the digital space has strongly built his social media following to 2.3 million Instagram followers, 850 thousand Facebook fans, 412 thousand Twitter followers, and 1.7 million subscribers on YouTube. Through the digital platform, he's landed a spot on MTV’s WILD ‘N OUT[3], where he is currently a renowned veteran and a plethora of acting gigs such as RIDE ALONG starring Kevin Hart and Ice Cube, #DigitalLivesMatter[4] [5], the Netflix original movie, STEP SISTERS, and DEAD HOUSE[6] which is a web series on Kevin Hart's Laugh Out Loud (LOL) Network[7]. Hudson is also featured in MIND OF EP[8] and BLIND BASKETBALL[9], which are both housed under the LOL network. In addition, he travels across the United States bringing the laughter to various crowds of all ages, whether it's universities, comedy clubs or hosting fashion shows.
