Sir (Dr) Emmanuel Ndubuisi Mbaka (born 26 September 1960) is a mathematician from the University of Science and Technology, Porthacourt, Rivers State. He achieved first class honours. He is the CEO/Managing Director of Platinum Mortgage Bank Limited, Nigeria.[1]
Biography
Early life and career
He attended Old Court Primary School, Aba, Abia State and came out with 1st Grade. He moved further to National High School, Aba, Abia State and came out with 1st Division (1974–1979). He gained admission into University of Science & Technology, Port Harcourt, River State and again, came out with a First Class Honours Degree in Mathematics in 1987. Mbaka started his career as a lecturer at the famous Kaduna Polytechnic, Kaduna State and later Lagos State Polytechnic before joining the banking sector as Assistant Manager with Progress Bank of Nigeria Plc. He was later appointed managing director of Frankenstein Nigeria Ltd in 1991 and subsequently, First Generation Homes Savings and Loans Ltd. in 2003. Today, he is the MD/CEO, Platinum Mortgage Bank Limited with branches in many states of the federation.
Marriage and children
Ndubuisi Mbaka is married to Ngozi Mbaka with 3 children.
Sir Emmanuel Ndubuisi Mbaka Foundation
The St. Agnes Pro-Cathedral in Eluama was built by him which attracted a warm welcome from Pope Francis during his visit.[2] He donated 500KVA transformer to Jahi, in Abuja; a community with no electricity for 50 years.
Honours, decorations, awards and distinctions
Mbaka has been decorated with many awards. Among them is the Knighthood of Saint Mulumba.[citation needed]
