emotix is an Indian consumer electronics start-up based in Mumbai, India. The company manufactures the AI-based Miko series of companion robots for kids.

emotix was co-founded in January, 2015 by three IIT-Bombay post-graduates, Sneh Vaswani (CEO), Prashant Iyengar (CTO) and Chintan Raikar (COO) on the pillars of robotics, artificial intelligence and Internet of Things. The company's name, emotix is a short-form of for emotional intelligence. In its pre-series A funding round in April, 2018, the company raised funds worth $2 million.[1] The funding round was led by Chiratae Ventures (former name IDG Ventures), Your Nest and included existing angel investor Keshav Murugesh (Group CEO of IT firm WNS). One of the company's first prototypes were picked by Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani’s EkStep Foundation.[2]
