Empathy Wines is a direct-to-consumer winery with vineyards located in Northern California and a subsidiary of Constellation Brands.[1][2][3][4] Empathy Wines sources from Shannon Ranch Vineyards in Lake County, California, Bokisch Vineyards in Lodi, California, Merwin Vineyards in Clarksburg, California, and Marietta Cellars in Sonoma County, California among others and remains one of the largest direct-to-consumer wineries in the United States.[5][6][7][8][9] Vaynerchuk initially worked with co-founders Jon Troutman and Nate Scherotter in the wine industry, and later at his advertising agency, VaynerMedia, before starting Empathy Wines.[10] Empathy Wines also established partnerships with wine retailer VinoMofo in Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore.[11]
Empathy ships to the United States, and through partners to Canada, Australia, Singapore and New Zealand.[7][12] Sommelier Nora Hoefer serves as Empathy Wines’ wine concierge.[13][2] Empathy Wine offers red, white, and rosé blends.[14] The company was acquired by Constellation Brands in July 2020.[4][15][16][17]
