The Empire of Angyalistan (French: Empire d’Angyalistan) is a micronation founded in 1999 by Olivier Touzeau. Angyalistan is not recognised by any country or government.[1] Since October 2013 the micronation claims garbage patches in international waters.
The Empire of Angyalistan is a member of La MicroFrancophonie. Angyalistan was present on international conferences on micronations in Perugia (2015), Aigues-Mortes (2016), Atlanta (2017) and was the organizer of the conference in Vincennes (2018).[2][3]
