Epiphany is a British and Irish music duo consisting of sisters Saoirse and Clíodhna Canning. Formed professionally in 2021, the duo initially operated as a business called Transcendence Events, providing live vocal services primarily for funeral ceremonies and other private celebrations. They later permanently adopted the stage name Epiphany as they expanded into broader commercial events and international performances, frequently accompanied by live session musicians. Although the duo regularly performs original material during their national and international tours, they have not yet commercially released any recorded music. Epiphany purposefully maintains a minimal online and social mediapresence, choosing inste

ad to build their fanbase traditionally through live engagement prior to their debut releases.
Early Life
The sister duo Epiphany was raised in The Royal Town of Sutton Coldfield, a suburb just outside of Birmingham.[1]
Born into a highly athletic family, both sisters excelled as high-level athletes across a diverse range of sports, including artistic and tumbling gymnastics[2], hockey[3], rugby[4], boxing[5] and track and field events such as pole vault and javelin.[6][7]Their athletic talents led them to compete in both national and international competitions.[8][8][9]
Outside of sport, the sisters were scouted at a young age by a talent agent who noted their striking resemblance to the Disney Princesses Merida and Belle, which secured them roles in an official Disney Princess costume advertising campaign.[10] This breakthrough launched extensive entertainment careers, with the duo appearing both independently and together in numerous advertisement, films, television series, modeling shoots, fashion catwalks, and theatre productions.[11][12] Some of their most notable early credits include appearances in the feature films Hercules (2014), Superbob, alongside roles and commercial campaigns for Silent Witness, Rude Tube, Primark and Kelloggs Cornflakes.[13]
The sisters graduated two years apart. During Saoirse's time at school, she became the youngest member of UK Youth Parliament, twice sitting in the House of Commons to debate her manifesto on integrating driver's education into the national school curriculum.[1]
Artistry
Epiphany's musical style is characterized by a fusion of their Celtic heritage, classical musical influences, and modern pop, blending traditional Irish folk melodies with contemporary production.[14] The duo's background as funeral singers significantly influenced their classical training and development as multilingual vocalists, leading them to perform repertoire in eight languages: English Irish, French, Spanish, Latin, Portuguese, Italian and Korean.[15]
Lyrically, the duo's songwriting draws heavily from their personal experiences, including their travels to over 65 countries. Family history serves as a central creative anchor for their work; several tracks pay tribute to family members most notably their Grandfather and his connections to the city of Birmingham.[16][17] Moving away from the somber nature of their early funeral performance background, Epiphany's commercial catalogue is defined by an optimistic outlook, frequently exploring themes of resilience, gratitude and joy.
Personal life
The sisters were raised by their parents, Martin Canning, a carpenter and amateur boxing champion who represented Ireland[18], and Sophie Martin-Canning[19], a bestselling author known for her 2004 novel 'Kissed by the Angels'.[20] The sister's have a younger brother, Cúchulainn Canning,[21] who studies acting at the Birmingham Ormiston Academy (BOA).[22]
Both sisters are devout Catholics who actively participate in their parish community, including reading weekly at Massand regularly volunteering for church initiatives at the Erdington Abbey.[23]
Regarding their private lives, neither sister has commented publicly on past or present relationships.
