Eric Deters (born August 6, 1963), also known as The Bulldog, is a former American attorney, producer, author, and businessman.[2][3][4] Deters is known for his lawsuit against Dr. Atiq Durrani and the Sarah Jones case.[5][6][7]
Early life and education
Eric attended St. Cecilia grade school until the sixth grade. In 1979, Deters graduated from Covington Latin School at age 15. He later graduated from Thomas More University with degrees in history and business. In 1986, he graduated from Salmon P. Chase College of Law. He became licensed in Kentucky in 1986, Ohio in 1987, and Florida in 1988.[8][9][10][11]
Career
In 2008, Deters began a radio career as a substitute host on Cincinnati's largest radio station,[12] 700 WLW. Deters has also written and published three books: Willie: Radio's Great American,[13] Saving Grace,[14] and Pioneer Spirit.[15] He was executive producer of Rebound: A Basketball Story.[16]
Media
Eric founded Bulldog Media in 2021. He also created a new reporting and repository called The Bulldog Reports.[17][18] After leaving 700 WLW radio, Deters started his own show called "The Bulldog Show".[19]
Controversies
In 2020, Deters was banned from the Hamilton County Courthouse after a judge said he threatened to burn down the building. In December 2020, the Ohio Supreme Court disciplinary board found that former attorney Eric Deters engaged in the unauthorized practice of law and fined him $13,000.[20] The Kentucky Supreme Court suspended Deters for 60 days, 30 days each for ethical violations in two cases dating back years.
