Erick Opoku Diego (born July 17, 1993 in Cape Coast, Ghana) is a Ghanaian footballer who is currently a free agent.
Opoku began his career with Anokye Stars,[1] in 2009.He played till 2011 after which he signed with [2] and played from 2011 - 2012.He played for After a short stint there he signed with Asante Kotoko.[3] in the year 2012 - 2015 and won the Premier League. He competed in the CAF Champions League and Confederations Cup ].[4] After three years with Asante Kotoko,[5] he moved outside his native country and signed for Dynamos of Zimbabwe where he bacame fans favourite and helped them win many trophies.[6] recruited the Ghanaian talented midfielder who is ambidextrus instantly became a household name in the league . He is a utility player who plays as an attacking midfielder. He is nicknamed "Diego"

He played with the Ghana national under-17 football team at the 2007 FIFA U-17 World Cup in South Korea.[7]
