Erick Opoku Diego (born July 17, 1993, in Cape Coast, Ghana) is a Ghanaian footballer who is currently a free agent.

Opoku began his career with Anokye Stars,[1] in 2009. He played until 2011, after which he signed with [2] and played from 2011–2012. After a short stint there, he signed with Asante Kotoko.[3] in the years 2012–2015 and won the Premier League. He competed in the CAF Champions League and Confederations Cup.[4] After three years with Asante Kotoko,[5] he moved outside his native country and signed for Dynamos of Zimbabwe, where he became a fan favourite and helped them win many trophies.[6] The Ghanaian talented midfielder, who is ambidextrous, instantly became a household name in the league. He is a utility player who plays as an attacking midfielder. He is nicknamed "Diego".

International career

He played with the Ghana national under-17 football team at the 2007 FIFA U-17 World Cup in South Korea.[7]
