Frederik Johannes Meijer or better known as Erik Meijer (born September 6, 1970) is a Dutch-born Indonesian businessman.
Early life[edit]
He graduated from Hanze University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands in 1991. He continued his studies at Middlesex University, England and graduated in 1992 majoring in International Marketing. Then, he was accepted to work at a telecommunications company from the Netherlands, namely PTT. The company sent him to go to Indonesia for two weeks in mid-1993 for development in the fields of business, public relations, and marketing.
However, his tenure was extended to one year and he helped raise the names of three telecommunications operators in Indonesia, namely Telkomsel, Bakrie Telecom, and Indosat.
On September 23, 2001, he married Indonesian actress Maudy Koesnaedy and had a son named Eddy Maliq Meijer in 2007. [1]
