Ervedosa |
---|
Ervedosa is a village in the municipality of Vinhais, in the region of Trás-os-Montes in the north of Portugal.[1] The "Feira de Produtos da Terra" (the market of products from the Earth in English) takes place at the end of June each year and has a number of attendees. There are numerous regional products brought by local inhabitants, and also from other local villages and towns.
Infrastructure
Since 2007, Ervedosa has had a stadium (called "Pavilhão Multiusos" in Portuguese). After a long-running battle with some local residents, the Pavilhão Multiusos was allowed to hold some sporting events, such as the first futsal tournament in 2018 (4 and 5 August), and also other cultural and recreational events.
Projects
A project for a public swimming pool was promised at the last elections in October 2017.
Famous residents
The Portuguese singer Rebeca sang at the festival of Saint Ane. The Portuguese singer Tony Carreira has also visited, invited by the village to visit and taste local specialities. The group Sons do Minho and the singer Augusto Canário have also visited Ervedosa.
