Eskju Divine (Eskju, faroese for box) was a Swedish indie rock group based in Norrköping, Sweden.
History
Eskju Divine was formed in 2002 by Gustaf Spetz (vocals, piano) alongside his two friends Daniel Åsander (drums), and Kristian Karlsson (bass, choir)[1].
Their first album Come and Join Close Your Eyes Become Blind We're On Our Way to Eskju Divine was released in 2005.[2] Their second album Heights was released in 2006[3]
At the beginning of 2007, Daniel Åsander left the band and Mattias Bhatt was brought in as a replacement.[4]
In 2007, they toured Japan and later went on to be the opening act for The Smashing Pumpkins at Cirkus in Stockholm on two different dates.[5]
The band disbanded in 2008 with the departure of Gustaf Spetz and the remaining members then went on to form Jeudah with vocalist Jan Jämte.[4]
