Essential Beauty is an Australian beauty salon franchise chain, originating in Adelaide, South Australia. Established initially in the CBD of Adelaide at Grenfell Street in 1990 and it has now 73 salons[1] around Australia.

Essential Beauty started in 1990 as a single room on Grenfell Street in Adelaide, aligned with a ladies only gymnasium.[2] The company currently operates 73 beauty salons in major shopping centres in Australia.

Franchising of the brand commenced in 2000. As of 2017, the company runs franchises in South Australia, Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia and New South Wales.[3] The company is planning for major expansion in Western Australia, Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.[4]

Essential Beauty is a member of the Franchise Council of Australia, and has been ranked as one of the top 50 fastest growing franchises within Australia in 2006 based on an independent review by BRW.[5]
