Ethan is the youngest teenage artist from South India and entirely self-taught, Indian artist Ethan Yeldo Abraham has worked to create a practise centred around his large-scale hyperrealist graphite works.

Exhibiting locally and internationally, Ethan has devoted his practise to pushing the medium of graphite. With perfection as a fundamental aspect of hyperrealism and digital artwork, a sense of sleek precision is kept at the core of his practice.

Intimate ideas of the self, interior dialogues, and the frequently elusive idea of "headspace" are all explored in Ethan's works. His figures always stand alone against the black and are surrounded by an emptiness of blackness that is present in all of his art. His incredibly realistic, hyperreal scenes, pencilled with photographic accuracy, draw influence from mythology and are surrealist in nature. The reoccurring themes, which explore imagination and ideas of dream-space, play with esoteric symbolism while using imagery of archetypes to temporarily arouse awareness in the observer. His artworks are produced in a hyper-realistic manner, which is marked by the meticulous attention to detail and exaggerated realism used in converting images into drawings and paintings. He preferred to describe my feelings than to show them. As long as something is spoken, it doesn't matter how the paint is applied. On the ground, more relaxed. He feels closer to and more a part of the painting since he can practically walk around it, work from all four sides, and be inside of it in this way.
