EUROCONSTRUCT was founded in 1974[1] by a group of specialised research institutes and consultancy organisations as a study group for construction analysis and forecasting.[2] Since then, starting from a core group, it has expanded its network to include almost all Western European and a number of Eastern European countries. Currently, EUROCONSTRUCT has member institutes in 19 European countries.

Regional coverage[edit]

Activities[edit]

EUROCONSTRUCT is known for forecasting European construction markets. Its research focuses on monitoring and forecasting the development of the economy as a whole and the main construction sectors of housing, non-residential buildings and civil engineering including their sub-sectors.

The results of the research are made available to a wide professional audience[3][4][5][6] through conferences and reports[7] and are a source of information for the European media.[8] [9] [10]

EUROCONSTRUCT analyses also form an essential basis for academic and applied economic research.[11] [12] [13] [14] [15]

EUROCONSTRUCT also supports European and international institutions[16][17][18] as well as interest groups[19] [20][21][22][23][24] with its forecasts and the expertise of its network members.
