Evelyn "Evie" Rüsseler (born 1961, Düsseldorf, Germany[1]) (AKA "Bear Boy") is an artist and experimental filmmaker. She initially trained as an anthropologist, where her research focused on possession and ecstasy in non-European cultures, then attended film school in Albuquerque, New Mexico.[1] Her photography, prints, and experimental films engage with themes of body transformation, animality, and spiritualism. She currently lives and works in Berlin.[2]
