Ellen Roth Deutsch

Ellen Roth Deutch (born November 1940) is an artist from the Bronx, New York. She is a mixed media artist whose work often explores bodies, biology, and narrative through beadwork, embroidery, and drawing.[1][dead link][2]

Life[edit]

Ellen Roth Deutsch grew up in an artistic family in New York. Her father is Irving Roir, who along with three of his brothers were national cartoonists known collectively as the Four Roth Brothers.[3][4][better source needed][5] Roth Deutsch moved to Chicago in 1976, much of her work is still exhibited. Roth Deutsch's daughter Gail H. Deutsch is a pathologist with whom she has collaborated.[1][dead link]

Career[edit]

Roth Deutsch has exhibited at the ARC Gallery & Educational Foundation in Chicago and the Noyes Art Gallery.[6][7]
