Everyday Loans is a loan provider based in Solihull, United Kingdom.[1] The company was founded in 2006 and is owned by the Independent lender, Secure Trust Bank.
Overview[edit]
The company provides loans to United Kingdom market. The company has locations across the UK, and offer unsecured loans of £500 to £10,000. Everyday Loans also offers secured loans for values between £10,000 up to £100,000.[2] As of June 2013 their average annual percentage rate on loans was 74.8%.[1] The company is owned and controlled by Secure Trust Bank.
The company is managed by the financier, Henry Angest.[1]
The lender claim that each case is judged case-by-case at branch, which gives them and their clients more flexibility when deciding how much they should borrow.[citation needed] The company is not seen as a Payday loan company.[3]
History[edit]
The company was launched in 2006, and opened its first branch in Bristol, United Kingdom on Colston Avenue.[4] At the time, the company also announced that they would be launching a number of other branches in the near future, throughout the United Kingdom.[2]
Within the company's first year of operation, they launched another four branches across the United Kingdom. This began in May 2011, when the company opened a branch in Leicester, which became its second branch.[5] [6] Throughout June and July of that year, Everyday Loans opened 3 further branches in Coventry,[7] [8] Glasgow[9] and Newcastle.[10] The opening of these stores was seen[by whom?] as a positive in the UK banking market, which at the time had began to struggle with signs of a recession.[citation needed]
In 2012, the company was acquired by Secure Trust Bank from its previous owner Alchemy Partners Nominees and the EDL management team.[11]
In January 2014, the company announced the opening of their Portsmouth branch.[12]
