Evolet is a feminine given name.[1] It originated as a name of a prehistoric woman in the 2008 film "10,000 B.C.[2] The character was portrayed by Grayson Hunt-Urwin and Camilla Belle Routh. In the film, the name means "the promise of life" in the fictional language spoken by the Yaghal. A more recent variation, Evoleht, arises from spelling "the love" backwards.[3] The name could also be a combination of the names "Eva" and "Violet", or derived from "evolution".
