Exalted Saviour is a symphonic black metal project that originated out of Montreal, Quebec, Canada.[4] The band was created by Michael Mosher in 2013, after the disbanding of his project Rotting Serpent.[2]

History[edit]

Exalted Saviour began in 2013 out of Montreal, Quebec. The project was created by Michael Mosher, who had previously been a part of Rotting Serpent.[2] Rotting Serpent would release fourteen albums over the course of its career before it was disbanded. Mosher then formed Exalted Saviour in response to his disbanding of Rotting Serpent.[2] The same year, the band released two full-length albums, Tetrad and No Tolerance, No Compassion, both of which were released through New Life Recordings, a label that Mosher had created. In 2014, the band would release a split EP with Forgotten Sorrow, titled Forbidden Facts of Solitude.

Following the release of the split, the band seemingly went on hiatus. In 2018, however, the band was revived, adding on Alexios Kakoulidis of Eikona, Kenosis, and Mystagogia on keyboards.[1] The two would record a new album, titled Blood Sacrifice, and released it independently.[5] However, soon thereafter, the band would sign with The Bearded Dragon Productions, an up and coming label in the Christian metal scene.[6][7] The band is set to release a split album with their labelmates Proven Existence and Mystic Winter through The Bearded Dragon, Blackened Label Productions, and Lament Records.[8]
