Expertwired was founded in early 2020 by Reinier Huisman (CEO) and Jeroen Slor (CTO), who had rich experiences in various advisory and tech roles[1][2]. Huisman has over 15 years’ experience in strategy consulting and M&A, among which some years at eBay Inc. in the global strategy/M&A team providing him with hands-on understanding of how the expert network industry has developed over these years, and his eBay experience possibly provided him with the online marketplaces understanding to leverage at Expertwired.
Expertwired is backed by private investors and is rumored to have closed an angel funding round of close to €1 million in early 2021[1].
