Extasy with old gondolas with floor

Extasy, an Energy Storm model made by Soriani and Moser ( now Moser's Rides) is a flat ride located in Austria, in the Prater amusment park.

The ride goes to speeds up to 120 km/h and exceeds a g-force of 3-4 Gs

It is currently operated by the showman Kolnhofer.[citation needed]

Since 1996, the ride had old gondolas with a floor, but since 2017, Katja Kolnhofer, the owner has bought and installed new, floorless seats, which, are 60 kg lighter, allowing for faster speeds[1]

Accidents[edit]

  • On 5 April 2010 a drunk Viennese man died after jumping on the ride while it was in motion[2]
  • On 31 October 2018 around 10 p.m. a girl fell out of the spinning gondola of the ride, this resulted in an injured ankle and a bruised armpit, is said that she had a backpack that bloked the full closure of the safety bar[3]

Interesting facts[edit]

Today, the only model simular to this ride type made is the Energy Storm 3, made by Zamperla[4]
