Eylisabeth "Lizy" Victoria Bengochea (born January 29) is a Latinx Cuban American actress, singer, composer, writer, dancer, and more. The teenage actress has already gone on to create numerous projects, and has a multitude more already in production. She is the recipient of several accolades, including the Messenger Award from the Royal Academy of the Dramatic Arts, several awards for her achievements in classical piano performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music, and has received recognition for her acting, directing, and also her writing from a variety of Film Festivals including the Pinewood Studios Lift Off Global Film Festival.

Born the daughter of two Cuban Immigrants who both defied the odds and became nationally acclaimed Pediatricians, Eylisabeth was raised in Miami, Florida, where she developed a deep connection with her cultural roots. Bengochea also aspired to be an actress from a young age, first appearing on the Telemundo television show "Viva La Familia", where she was a lead performer in numerous episodes. After that, her career grew to include the stage, and theatre became a staple of her creative passions. Early life

Eylisabeth Victoria Bengochea was born in Miami, Florida on January 29, 2005. Her mother, Eysa Marquez, is a Pediatrician and small business owner who immigrated from Havana, Cuba. Marquez also lived in Puerto Rico for the entirety of her teenage years, and describes herself as feeling Puerto Rican culturally. Eylisabeth’s father, Jose Antonio Bengochea, is also a Cuban refugee turned successful Pediatrician. Eylisabeth has an older brother, also named Jose Antonio Bengochea, who is a graduate of Harvard College, Harvard Law School, and Harvard Business School; as well as an older sister, Eyvana Bengochea, who graduated from Columbia College and Columbia Law School.

Interested in a career in the spotlight from an early age, Eylisabeth’s parents state that she sang and would hum along to Disney songs before she could even speak. Eylisabeth would also put on elaborate productions for her family, including costumes and music, at as young as two and a half years old. She has always been particularly fond of Musical Theatre and Broadway, and was even known to put on one-woman renditions in her Elementary School of shows like "In the Heights" and "Les Miserables". She took lessons in Tap dance, Ballet, and Jazz. She states that her parents are supportive of her and her career choice, and her success would not be possible without them.

Soon, opportunities lead Eylisabeth to pursue classical training and Opera, where she performed in numerous seasons with the critically acclaimed Florida Grand Opera at both the Adrienne Arsht Center and the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. Soon, her talents brought her to New York City where she performed in musicals, benefit concerts for the Red Cross Association, and Off-Broadway productions where she starred alongside actor Tony Danza, as well as actresses Meg Donnelly, and Maddie Ziegler.

Acting career

Eylisabeth began her career on the Telemundo Network television show "Viva La Familia". After her on-screen appearance, Bengochea, wanting to seize any opportunity she could, performed in a numerous theatrical productions in Florida at renowned theatres including the Coconut Grove Theatre, The Actor’s Playhouse, The Artimes Theatre, and performances at the Addrienne arsht Center. Bengochea then went on to be one of very few children to play leading roles in the nationally acclaimed Florida Grand Opera (FGO) performing at both the Adrienne Arsht Center and the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.

Bengochea's talents then lead her theatrical career to New York City, where she performed in concerts, productions, and musicals. One of the most notable theatrical productions that Eylisabeth starred in was the Off-Broadway production with Broadway conductor Rick Hip-Flores where she performed alongside Tony Danza, Meg Donnelly, and Maddie Ziegler. Bengochea was set to return to the New York stage in 2020, but the Coronavirus pandemic hindered that plan, and the show was pushed to 2021.

Charity Founder

Eylisabeth Bengochea is the founder of the non-profit charity "Voices for Kindness".
