EZTax.in[1] is a FinTech Startup focused on Taxation & Accounting in India, an online tax compliance portal providing software services to help prepare, plan,[2] save taxes[3] for both Individual and business tax payers to make accounting, tax preparation, planning, filing easier. EZTax.in is operated under the legal name of MYD Labs Private Limited,[4][5] which was founded in 2016 by an ex-Oracle executive Mr. Suneel Dasari.[6]
In June 2017, the Income Tax Return filing software was 1st launched to help individual tax payers, with its initial success in acquiring customers, it launched second SaaS product during Oct 2017, named EZTax Books to help SMEs to be GST compliant in India. Later during 2018 tax season in India, it has acquired more than 90,000 customers in the IT Filing Segment.[7][8]
As of October 2019, the company own EZTax.in ITR Self Service, Books GST Accounting Software, and TDS Preparation products, claimed to acquire 1,200,000 customers for its IT Filing segment and 5000 clients for its GST ready Accounting Software.
