FC Sokol Moscow (Russian: Футбольный клуб «Сокол» Москва) is a Russian football club from Moscow who compete in the fourth-division of Russian football, the LFK.

History[edit]

The club was formed in 1970 when “Sokol”, Sports School number 27, was founded. The institution was successful in producing many young Russian footballers from Moscow and moving them onto professional clubs in the Russian football pyramid. In 2013, the school was renamed “Olympic Reserve No.27 ‘Sokol’” as part of the State Budgetary Institutions.

The club's first team competes in the Moscow Region of the Russian Amateur Football League, the fourth-tier in Russia. In 2015, they finished as runners-up in the league.[3]

In January 2021, the club signed their first ever international player, Iraqi 20-year-old Hadi Haidar, who had last played for Iraqi Premier League champions Al-Shorta and became the second Iraqi ever to play in Russia after Krylia Sovetov's Safaa Hadi. Hadi made his debut for Sokol in February 2021, coming on in the 70th minute against Rodino-M.[4]
