FOSS Backstage

FOSS Backstage (Free and Open Source Software Backstage) is an annual conference on the non-coding aspects of free and open source software, such as community management, governance, asynchronous collaboration, license compliance, funding, or UX design. The conference also covers related topics like InnerSource or open source in public administration.[1][2]

While the first edition in 2018 took place in June together with Open Source search and data conference Berlin Buzzwords and an Apache Roadshow, from 2020 the event moved to taking place in early March.

Keynote speakers included Danese Cooper, Shane Coughlan, Matthias Kirschner, Felix Reda, Frank Karlitschek, Maurizio Gazzola, Marie Kreil, Patricia Leu, Laura Dornheim, Clare Dillon, Melanie Rieback, Giacomo Tenaglia, and Jutta Horstmann.
