FOXTRAX is an alternative rock band from Oceanside, Long Island, New York. [7][8]
The band consists of Ben Schneid and brothers Jared Stenz and Jon Stenz who formed in 2015 after graduating from college.
They spent six weeks in a cabin in North Carolina, where they wrote and recorded a handful of demos that would eventually become their debut EP, "The Cabin." When the band returned to New York, they took the demo tracks to Vinegar Hill Sound and finished recording with the help of engineer Reed Black. [9]
By the end of 2015, FOXTRAX relocated to Los Angeles. [10] [11] and sent their demos to Producer/Engineer Ben Roulston (Florence and the Machine, Wolf Alice), who added additional production and a new mix to the EP, plus hired Brian Lucey (Royal Blood / The Shins / Depeche Mode) to master the tracks. On July 1, 2016, FOXTRAX released their debut EP, "The Cabin," through their own record label, Soul Sounds Records, via AWAL/Kolbalt Distribution. [14][15][16]
On the day of release, the popular music blog Indie Shuffle premiered the band's debut single, "Underwater," alongside a glowing review stating "(FOXTRAX) emerged with a beautiful debut EP fittingly titled The Cabin." [17] "Underwater" received initial radio play by Mark Goodman on The Spectrum, and also became an Alternative "Spotlight" track on iTunes/Apple Music and was featured on SiriusXM's Alt Nation channel's "Advanced Placement".[18]

FOXTRAX was named "Ones to Watch" by Live Nation,[22] and appeared on Ticketmaster’s "New Music Favorites" emerging artists program.
FOXTRAX made their SXSW debut in 2017 as a showcasing artist, performing at several showcases, including an appearance on art and cultural magazine Collide's Stub Hub Sound Stage. [23][24][25]
In May 2017, the band reunited with Barns Courtney to open for him on his North American tour, playing cities across the nation. [26] [27][28][29][30][31][32][33][34][35][36]
On a three-week hiatus from the tour, the band stopped in New York for a sold-out headline show at The Studio at Webster Hall and key promotion. [37] During this visit, British producers Ben Roulston and Alexander Wolfe travelled to New York to record three new tracks, returning to Vinegar Hill Sound Studio in Brooklyn. The band plans to release the tracks this fall. [38][39]
