Fabien Colas (born 1988 in Luxembourg) is a producer of music videos, commercials and narrative films. Through his Los Angeles-based production companies Virgin Soil Pictures and Kite Rock Pictures as well as freelance work, Colas has produced music videos for a range of artists including Miley Cyrus, ASAP Rocky, Bad Bunny, Lil Nas X and commercial work with Lana Del Rey and Kim Kardashian.
Career
Colas has been working as an executive producer under the production company Virgin Soil Pictures with Malcolm Duncan since 2016. In 2017, he founded his own Los Angeles-based production company, Kite Rock Pictures. In 2022, he co-founded the film production company 35M Films in Luxembourg with Emile V. Schlesser.[1] Previous collaborations with Schlesser include the short films "Roxy" (2016), "Superhero" (2020) and "Kowalsky" (2022).[2]
His music videos have been nominated for MTV Music Video Awards[3] and multiple UK Music Video Awards.[4][5] He has produced a wide range of commercials for clients such as Levi's, Farfetch, TAG Heuer, Balenciaga, Zara, Lululemon, Playboy, Alexander Wang, Barilla or Kodak.[6]
Colas produced the music video for Miley Cyrus' "Flowers", released on January 13, 2023. As of January 19, the track had become the most-streamed song in a single week in Spotify history.[7][8][9] By March 15, the video had been seen more than 303 million times on YouTube.[10]
