Faecalibacillus faecis is a Gram-positive, obligately anaerobic, non-motile, and non-spore-forming species of bacterium in the family Erysipelotrichaceae.[2][3] Its type strain, SNUG30370T (= KCTC 15632T = JCM 32257T), was isolated from a fecal sample collected from a healthy Korean man.[2][1]
Etymology
The specific epithet faecis is a Latin genitive noun meaning "of faeces", referring to the source from which the type strain was isolated.[1]
