Fair Play For Women
Fair Play For Women is a self-proclaimed women's rights pressure group in the United Kingdom that primarily campaigns against the treatment of trans women as women, in contexts such as women's sports,[1] girl guides,[2] and the right to change legal gender. [3] FPFW was founded in 2017.[4] The group is not a registered charity in England and Wales,[5] but is incorporated since 22 October 2019 as a private limited company.[6]
The group does have an online presence, with 26,000 followers on their Twitter account,[7]. In November 2018, the group were accused by LGBT groups of transphobic tweets such as suggesting artificially inseminated trans women would inevitably die during any pregnancy,[8] and accusing incarcerated trans women of being sexual predators.[9] Representatives of the group have been regularly consulted by UK media such as The Times[10][11] and The Telegraph[12] to profile their campaigns and speak out against the perspective of trans people.
