Faith Dingle is a fictional character from the ITV soap opera Emmerdale, most recently and notably played by Sally Dexter from 2017 to 2019 and 2021 to 2022. Gillian Jephcott originated in the role briefly in 2000, and made a reppearance in 2004, before Dexter played her regularly. The character's storylines included trying to rebuild her strained relationship with her children, Cain (Jeff Hordley) and Chas (Lucy Pargeter), and choosing to end her life after realising that her cancer had spread to her brain, which would have eventually resulted in her losing her independence.
