Family Game Fight! is an upcoming American game show, where families take on in massive Games, with a chance to win $100,000. The show will be hosted by Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard, marking their first television project together.[1][2][3] Special Series Premiere is set on 8th August 2021, 10.30 pm, while the actual series starts on 11th August, 9 pm.
A 10-episode run has been ordered for the show's first season. The show is partially based on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and Ellen's Game of Games, and is executive produced by Ellen DeGeneres with her group as well Bell and Shepard.[4][5][6]
Format
In each episode, two families of max 4 person are joined by Kristen and Dax to take on in a different set of 'larger-than-life'- style games, physical and mental. Both families compete in all games, and the best family haves a chance to win $100,000 for whole family.[1][7]
The Families competing can be any kind of between Brothers and Sisters, Moms and Best Mates, and as well regular Families including Parents, Grandparents and Kids.[8]

- Between the Sheets: Two members of the team are laying on the bed. They have to alternatively find items between the Sheets with blindfolds on, and describe them to the other member. Works slightly similar as game “Taste Buds”.

- Taste Buds: This game is based on Ellen DeGeneres' create, where contestants have to guess a food or item and explain it to the other members with blindfolds on. This version just with Families in addition; the Family with the most correct answers wins the game.

Production
In February 2019, when Kristen and Dax visited on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, they were forced to play one on Ellen's favourite game, called “Taste Buds”. According to Ellen, “It was so much better than it could've been ever hoped”. Afterwards, Ellen (with her production group) came up with an idea of whole new game show, starring Kristen and Dax. Later, it was revealed as Family Game Fight, with DeGeneres as leading executive producer.[8]
Release
Originally, it was planned to premiere the series on Wednesday 11th August, 2021, but it was later revealed, that the Special Preview episode is going to be aired on Sunday 8th August, inmediately after the Closing Ceremony of Summer Olympics, and replacing Ultimate Slip 'N Slide-premiere, with full-time premiere on Wednesday 11th August.[6]
