KTM -Sportmotorcycle AG is an Austrian motorcycle manufacturer owned by CROSS Industries AG and Bajaj Auto Limited. KTM was formed in 1981 but traces its foundation to as early as 1934. In 1992, the company was spun off from its parent company KTM when it faced financial difficulties. KTM was split into four companies, all sharing the same "KTM" branding, and currently has many more subsidiaries with the same branding. However, KTM-Sportmotorcycle is most commonly associated with the KTM brand, as it continues the flagship business of its parent company.
In January 2012, Bajaj launched the Duke 200 model in India. In 2015, KTM announced that it would invest US$5 million in a plant in the town of Campana (Buenos Aires), and begin production in Argentina of one of their bike models, partnering with SIMPA Group. Initially, production would focus on the KTM Duke 200, a motorcycle the company planned to sell domestically. Projections for 2015 showed total production of six models.
KTM's new focus on road racing will soon expand to include Superbike competition with the help of their newly developed V-Twin engine, dubbed the LC8, as used in the 950 Adventure dual-sport motorcycle. More specifically, the 2005/2006 990 Super Duke was followed by the superbike contender known as the 1190 RC8. The Super Duke will feature a higher-output, second-generation version of the LC8 engine, tuned for high-rpm peak power as required in road racing and superstreet applications, while the RC8 will use a 1,190 cc version of the LC8 for improved midrange performance.
The first KTM street bike was the Duke 620 in 1994. Supermoto KTM produces several supermoto race bikes with displacements ranging from 450 (a supermoto version of the 450sx-f) to 690 cc. They also make four non-race-oriented models in 625, 654, 950, and 990 cc displacements. Dual-sport Adventure bikes are offered with both the LC4 engine (Adventure 640, 640R, 660, and 690) and the LC8 engine (Adventure 950, 950S, 990). The 640R is the basis for the Rally 660, which has won numerous Dakar Rallies.

Ducati Desmosedici RR[3]
Ducati Motor Holding S.p.A. is an Italian company that designs and manufactures motorcycles. Headquartered in Bologna, Italy, Ducati is owned by the German automotive manufacturer Audi through its Italian subsidiary Lamborghini, which is wholly owned by the Volkswagen Group.
The Ducati Desmosedici RR is a limited production road-legal version of the Desmosedici MotoGP racebike.
In 2004, Ducati announced at the Misano circuit at World Ducati Week that a low-volume road replica of the Desmosedici would be available for reservation beginning in June 2006. Ducati made 1,500 Desmosedici models for public purchase.
Ducati first showed a final production version of the bike at a press day for the '06 Italian Grand Prix at Mugello. Termed the Desmosedici RR (Racing Replica), it was claimed to be the first true road replica of a MotoGP racing bike. Priority for ordering was given to Ducati 999R owners. Production was projected at one bike per day with a retail cost of US$72,500 and GB£40,000. The price included a three-year warranty and servicing, cover, and a racing kit including a race-only exhaust system, a slip-on muffler, and complementary fuel and ignition mapping in a "race ECU". It also included enough sponsor stickers to cover both sides of the bike. The Desmosedici RR, with forged magnesium wheels, was the first production bike to use them.
Ducati Desmosedici RR production began in October 2007 and ended in December 2008, with the first customer orders delivered from January 2008.
Yamaha YZF-R1 series[4]
Yamaha Motor Company Limited is a Japanese manufacturer of motorcycles, marine products such as boats and outboard motors, and other motorized products.
In 1998, Yamaha marketed a 1000cc four-cylinder road bike called the YZF 'R1'. This model introduced a new gearbox design that shortened the overall length of the motor/gearbox case, allowing for a more compact unit. This, in turn, allowed the motor to be positioned further forward in the frame, improving handling in a short-wheelbase frame.

Harley-Davidson, Inc. (H-D), or Harley, is an American motorcycle manufacturer, founded in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1903. Modern Harley-branded motorcycles fall into one of six model families: Touring, Softail, Dyna, Sportster, V-Rod, and Street. These model families are distinguished by frame, engine, suspension, and other characteristics.
Harley-Davidson's association with the sportbike manufacturer Buell Motorcycle Company began in 1987 when they supplied Buell with fifty surplus XR1000 engines. Buell continued to buy engines from Harley-Davidson until 1993, when Harley-Davidson acquired 49 percent of Buell Motorcycle Company. Harley-Davidson increased its share to 98 percent in 1998 and completed the acquisition in 2003.
Known for a style of customization that gave rise to the chopper motorcycle style, Harley-Davidson traditionally marketed heavyweight, air-cooled cruiser motorcycles with engine displacements greater than 700 cm³ — and has broadened its offerings to include its more contemporary VRSC (2002) and middle-weight Street (2015) platforms.
