Farbsteinism

In the Swiss castle Sihlberg lived David Farbstein from 1924 until his death in 1953. In the 60s and 70s it was a popular meeting place of Farbsteinists.[1]

Farbsteinism (German: Farbsteinismus) is a Jewish political and religious ideology[2] , coupled with the Swiss Jewish and originally Polish politicians David Farbstein. It has two different meanings. The frequent use of ideology is organized by the Jewish communities of Zurich.[3] The ideology is not widespread in the world[4] and exists only in Zurich and brans parts of Jerusalem[5] the official ideology is used since 1948 [6] and has about 18,000 followers in the world.[7] [8]

Typical features of Farbsteinism are:

  • cult of personality
  • cult of the Death (1953-1955)[9]
  • anticommunism
  • antifascism
  • the fight against anti-Semitism[10]
