FarmingUK is an online website and digital magazine founded in 2003 aimed at the British farming industry. It provides UK industry news and analysis from across the different farming sectors. Environmental and rural issues affecting the UK are also reported on.[1]
Besides this, the website provides visitors an extensive list of upcoming agricultural shows, rural properties for sale and a directory of businesses.
History and profile[edit]
FarmingUK was founded in 2003 with a focus on providing farming industry news purely for online visitors.
In 2017, the website launched its first app 'AgShow' [2], which provides users with information on local country and agricultural shows.
In November 2017, FarmingUK caught the attention of the international media after it published a short story on the site about British MPs rejecting a law regarding animal sentience.[3] [4] [5]
