Introduction[edit]

Farooq Sarwar (Urdu: فاروق سرور‎) is a Pakistani writer who writes in Pashto, Urdu and English. He worked as television and radio actor. At present he is working as a Lawyer. He belongs to the Pakistan’s province Balochistan’s capital city Quetta. He is born on 25th June, 1962.

Early life and education[edit]

Farooq Sarwar have studied from Islamia High School, Quetta. He has completed his higher Education from Government College, Quetta

Later accomplished his bachelor and masters in English Literature from University of Balochistan.

He has achieved his law (L.L.B) degree from Government Law College, Quetta.

Events and career[edit]

Farooq Sarwar is practising Law in Quetta’s Session Court of Balochistan and High Court of Balochistan being a Senior Advocate from 1991 up till present.

Then in 1997, he started Urdu Column for World literature in Pakistan’s newspaper Daily Jang Quetta under the title of Adab Ser[1] section for literary purpose in which he has mentioned his views on the different novels written by classic and modern novels of the world literature and also the literature of regional languages of Pakistan. Then in year 2015 he became Assistant Advocate General of Balochistan[2] for a contract of 4 years and which was completed in year the 2018.

Achievements[edit]

Farooq Sarwar is three times winner for “Best Book” and received awards from Government of Balochistan.

His major achievements include “Abdul Ali Akhundzada Excellence Award (Pashto Literature)” from Governor of Balochistan in the year 2016, and in 2018 Pride of Performance from President of Pakistan.
