Fashion Week Online is a fashion website, featuring a comprehensive fashion week calendar[2] and schedules for New York, London, Milan, and Paris[3] fashion weeks, including Instagrams,[4] replay videos, shopping, news, and live streams.[5]
The website has been cited in CNN Style,[6] Esquire,[7] Business Insider,[8] ABC News,[9] Huffington Post,[10] Mic.com,[11] Bustle.com,[12] NewYork.com,[13] SheKnows.com,[14] Racked.com,[15] Wayin.com,[16] and others.
It was mentioned in Lonely Planet's The Best Place to be Today: 365 Things to do & the Perfect Day to do Them.[17]
Diversity inclusion
The site also produces runway shows. For February 2016, it co-produced a diversity-focused show in conjunction with Global Disability Inclusion and FTL Moda.[18][19][20]
According to the Huffington Post, "the show was presented in collaboration with Fashion Week Online and Global Disability Inclusion. It also featured amputee models Shaholly Ayers and Rebeka Marine ... and was named one of Time Out New York’s '20 super cool things to do in NYC this week' for opening to the public and because of organizers’ belief 'that NYFW (and fashion overall) should be inclusive.'"[21][22]
Notable interviews
The site has interviewed fashion luminaries such as Fern Mallis,[23] Barbara Bui,[24] Vivienne Tam,[25] Lubov Azria,[26][27] Kilian Hennessy,[28] Custo Dalmau,[29] Dean and Dan Caten,[30] musician Steve Nieve,[31] and others.
Editor-in-Chief Chris Collie was named one of the 10 best-dressed men at New York Fashion Week by Esquire,[7][32] and has appeared alongside prominent fashion figures such as Anna Wintour,[33] Grace Coddington, Calvin Klein, and Sofia Coppola,[34] among others.
He's also been interviewed by AOL.com.[35]
The site has been the first to call for a seasonal name change in response to changing trends in the retail cycle due to online shopping and "same-season collections."[36][37]
