Fawn Annet Arnold (born June 23 1971 in Wichita Falls, Texas) is a US-American musical actress, singer, entrepreneur and vocal coach.
Life and career
Fawn Arnold was born as the second daughter of the jazz musicians Ruben Elisha "Rocky" Arnold Jr (*1922, +2018) and Vivian Arnold (Burnham, *1934)[1] in Wichita Falls, Texas. She lived a large part of her childhood touring with her parents. As a young child, she started singing and dancing. Her six years older sister Nina was her inspiration and acting coach. Her first role was at the age of 9 in Annie Get Your Gun (musical).
She attended the Wichita Falls High School and graduated in 1989. After studying acting at the Midwestern State University and dancing at the University of North Texas she worked as a dancer and dance coach in California. In 1992 she was cast for the Girl Group Gloria and toured through Europe. Gloria was featured, for example, for DJ Bobo, Captain Hollywood Project, Culture Beat or En-Rage.
After a work accident she was diagnosed with a Stress fracture of her spine. This ended her dance career. Her vocal coach, also US-American musical actress Kay Montgomery, acting[2] in The Phantom of the Opera (1986 musical) in Hamburg at the time, noticed and nurtured her singing talent. This helped Arnold to start her musical career in Germany. Arnold first acted in Schmidt's Tivoli in Hamburg and later in many theatres and also for Stella AG and Stage Entertainment.
From 2010 to 2019 Arnold had her own musical dinner production company named Musical Gaumenschmaus.
Since 2013 Arnold has been running one of the first German-speaking online singing schools called Singen ohne Angst.[3] (translated: singing without fear)
