Featured is an American public relations software company based in Scottsdale, Arizona. The company operates a platform that connects subject-matter experts with publishers and media outlets.[1] The company was founded in 2020 under the name Terkel and later rebranded to Featured.[2]
In April 2025, Featured acquired the journalist–source service Help a Reporter Out (HARO) from Cision.[3]
History
Featured began as Terkel in 2020.[1] In 2022, the company announced a $1 million seed funding round from Sonoran Founders Fund, Stout Street Capital, and Calm Company Fund.[4]
The company rebranded to Featured in 2023.[5][2]
Acquisition and relaunch of HARO
Cision discontinued HARO after rebranding it as "Connectively".[6] The shutdown was covered in search-marketing publications.[7]
In April 2025, Cision sold HARO to Featured.[3] Industry coverage described Featured’s plans to relaunch HARO as an email-based service.[8]
