Fibe (formerly EarlySalary) is an Indian financial technology company that operates in the consumer lending sector. It was founded in 2015 by Akshay Mehrotra and Ashish Goyal and is headquartered in Pune, Maharashtra. The company provides digital credit-related services. It rebranded as Fibe in 2022.[3][4][5]
History
In 2015, the company launched under the name EarlySalary. Although the startup ran out of operational funds in its early stages.[3] In May 2018, it acquired a consumer lending platform called CashCare.[6]
In 2022, EarlySalary rebranded to Fibe. That same year, the company was reportedly valued at $350 million following its Series D funding round.[7] In 2022 It also acquired HealthFin.[8]
In January 2023, Fibe partnered with Narayana Health to launch a healthcare financing initiative under the CareNow PayLater program, offering low-cost and no-cost medical loans.[9]
In August 2023, Fibe announced a partnership with udChalo to offer personal loans tailored specifically for Indian Defence Personnel.[10]
In October 2023, Fibe, in partnership with Axis Bank, launched India’s first numberless credit card. The co-branded product does not display a card number, CVV, or expiry date on the physical card, enhancing security by minimizing the risk of identity theft.[11][12]
In June 2024, Fibe, raised $90 million in a Series E funding round led by TR Capital, Trifecta Capital, and Amara Partners, with participation from existing investors including TPG Rise Fund, Norwest Venture Partners, Eight Roads Ventures, and Chiratae Ventures. [1]
According to media reports, the company disburses six million loan accounts and serves 25 million users, and had expanded its operations to 350 cities.[13]
In April 2025, Fibe entered into a partnership with Mirae Asset Financial Services to offer personal loans to salaried individuals in India.[14]
Recognition
In 2023, Fibe was declared the winner in the fintech startup sector at the G20-DIA Global Pitching Startup Ranking, organized by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India.[15] Fibe was honored with the IAMAI Digital Responsibility Award for Healthtech Accessibility.
