Fieldlens develops and markets a mobile communication platform that provides project management tools for the construction industry.[1] FieldLens offers apps for Android and iOS designed for contractors to manage field information about construction projects.[2]

Company history[edit]

FieldLens was founded in 2011 by Doug Chambers and Matt Sena.[3] Chambers previously oversaw technical management for construction projects including The New York Times Building and Four World Trade Center.[4]

FieldLens received seed funding from Quotidian Ventures in 2011, followed by 2 rounds of venture funding in 2012 and 2013.[5]

FieldLens officially launched in March 2014 at the Conexpo-Con/Agg industry trade show. At the time of the launch, FieldLens had signed up more than 1,000 companies.[6]

In May 2014, FieldLens announced an $8 million Series A funding round led by OpenView Venture Partners.[7]

The company was acquired by WeWork in June 2017.[8]
