First Media is an American digital media publishing and marketing company based in Los Angeles, California. It operates notable digital brands BabyFirst TV ,[4] So Yummy, Blossom, and Blusher. Its social media brands are known for their short-form videos, focusing primarily on young adult audiences.

History[edit]

First Media was founded by Guy Oranim and Sharon Rechter in 2006.[5] In May 2006 they launched baby and toddler network BabyFirst,[6][7] a TV channel with animated programs for babies.[8][9] In 2019 it reached 60 million US TV homes.[10]

It the following years, First Media launched DIY brand Blossom, food-centered brand So Yummy, and beauty brand Blusher.[2] In 2019, [11]

In 2017, First Media launched in China on Youku Tudou and Weibo and HBO Asia also began streaming BabyFirst in the China.[12][13]

In 2020, First Media expanded into Latin American partners via Sky Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean and Cable and Wireless Caribbean.[14]

The company has offices in New York, Chicago, Tel Aviv and Los Angeles.[2]
