It exits North Lauderdale and enters Palm Aire in Fort Lauderdale, before intersecting with Lyons Road, and exiting Palm Aire. Now entering Cypress Creek Business Center, It is the northern border of Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport and crosses Keiser University. It intersects Powerline Road. There are high rises in the area. It passes the nearby train station before intersecting Andrews Ave There is an exit to I-95, and bypasses the freeway. It goes on and SR 840 reaches its eastern terminus, Dixie Highway. It goes on without any designation, though. As it goes on, it becomes a residential avenue.
