Flutter Magazine is an independent multimedia women's interest magazine and lifestyle brand, first published in 2013 by photographer & creative director Kim Wiseley[1].

Released tri-annually, Flutter is a visual journey into thoughtful living and entertaining. Embracing a sense of laid-back luxury, the fine art publication is designed to deliver an aesthetic experience through a variety of mixed mediums including film photography, watercolor illustration, calligraphy, tear-out recipe cards, collectible post cards, art prints and more.

Each collectible edition of Flutter[2] shares heart-fluttering inspirations for floral design, creative travel, wedding, entertaining[3], fashion and design - each often featuring over 25 contributing artists from around the world.

In addition to its print publication, Flutter hosts an ongoing series of international creative retreats, workshops, and events allowing readers to get a taste of the lifestyle presented before them firsthand.

Flutter Magazine is available in print at Barnes & Noble[4] stores nationwide, Chapters stores in Canada, through Amazon.com and select independent retailers internationally. Flutter Magazine is available digitally through Magzter and Amazon Kindle.

Founder and Creative Director[edit]

Kim Wiseley founded Flutter Magazine in Santa Barbara, California in the Spring of 2013. With a degree in photography from the Brooks Institute, Kim's passion for print, design, and the tangible inspired Flutter during a time when the quality of the magazine industry was waning.

Over a period of five years and seventeen editions, Kim has transformed Flutter into a global lifestyle brand that delights in the art of living pretty & celebrating chic™ through a tri-annual collectible print publication, creative workshops, international creative retreats, and curated, one-of-a-kind keepsake products.

History[edit]

The idea of Flutter Magazine was born in the Fall of 2012 in Santa Barbara, California. Former partners, Kim Wiseley and Tracy Lazaro, set out to design a refashioned magazine in a first-of-its-kind hybrid fine art periodical dedicated to thoughtful living and entertaining. Debuting in print in the Fall of 2013, 108-pages of highly visual editorial content were brought to life with stunning imagery, fresh inspiration, and trendsetting style. In the Spring of 2015, Wiseley took full ownership of the brand.
