Flying Ketchup Press

Flying Ketchup Press is a trademarked press in Kansas City, Missouri founded in 2018 by managing editor, Polly Alice McCann, to develop new and diverse voices in poetry and short story. Their masthead: "to salvage lost treasure troves of written and illustrated work—to create worlds of wonder and delight; to share your story."[1]

Their imprints: Coyote Point Press (2021) Light Shine Books (1974) and Salt & Fig Books (Poetry 2019).

Outreach: Ketchupedia Words for Writers Podcast and Ketchupedia Poetry Radio is a program by Flying Ketchup Press ® created with help from students from Greenville University, IL and Kansas City Art Institute, Kansas City, MO made possible by OneKC Radio KONN 100.1 FM. Their developing program "Poetry Editor in Residence" aims to allow more poets to become editors and bring more great poetry into the publishing world. Their annual poet in residence highlights community activism and has held such inspiring poets as, KC Fringe Fest award winning performer of his poetic screen play "kNew", Poet T.L.
