Folia Orientalia (FOr) is an annual peer-reviewed academic journal that was established in 1959 by the Orientalist Commission of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Kraków on the initiative of Tadeusz Lewicki.[1] It covers research of the modern as well as the ancient Near East, Middle East, South Asia, Central Asia and Africa, with a special focus on linguistics, literary studies, history, archaeology, cultural studies, religious studies, and art history.[1][2]
