Ford Colt
Ford Colt was a planned car from Ford that was intended as a European version of the Ford Mustang.[1] Work started in 1965.[1] The design team included Philip T. Clark who designed the Mustang, Gordon Mackray and from the UK Neil Bertley.[1] It was first displayed in 1965. The next design was revealed in 1966. During the autumn of 1967, road testing of the prototypes was started. A few months before launch, they were contacted by Mitsubishi who said they already had a car called Colt. Ford had to rename the car to Ford Capri[2] and redesign it before it was launched in 1969.
