Fosun RZ Capital
Fosun RZ Capital is a venture capital investment fund and affiliate of the Fosun Group.[1] Based in Beijing, China, it was founded in 2013 and primarily invests in high-tech innovation and consumer services. Wilson Jin Hualong is the chairman.[2] The company invests in all the stages of a company’s development from early start-up to IPO.[3][4][5] The firm has over 60 portfolio companies in China, and about 10 in the US, with about $1.2 billion in assets under management, with investments in India, Israel, China, Southeast Asia and the United States.[1][6]

Fosun RZ was an early investor in Casstime Technologies, a platform for buying and selling auto aftermarket products. At the end of August 2018 Fosun RZ participated in Series B3 round of Casstime financing which raised a total of USD 36 million. Fosun RZ also participated earlier in a Series B round of financing.[7][8] In June 2020 the company closed a USD 50 million Series C2 round.[9]
In October 2019, DeepRoute, an international autonomous driving technology startup, raised USD 50 million in pre-Series A funding, which was led by Fosun RZ.[10][11][12]
At the end of December 2019 Fosun RZ invested in B+ round of financing in Molecular Data, a chemical industry technology-driven platform in China.[13] On July 23, 2020 Fosun RZ Capital announced the close of its inaugural science-technology innovation fund for $186 million (1.3 billion yuan.) The fund is Fosun RZ’s first independent funding attempt as a CVC (corporate venture capital) arm.[14]
Philanthropy[edit]
The company partnered with Alpine Capital to donate 20,000 Covid-19 test kits to India in April 2020. Fosun RZ had donated 5,000 medical masks previously to local schools and hospitals.[15]
